BERLIN (AP) — By train and bus, thousands of migrants and refugees have arrived in cities across Germany. Thousands more are expected to arrive in Germany and Austria from Hungary today. The refugees were allowed to leave Hungary yesterday after the country opened its borders with Austria. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Angela Merkel plans to discuss Europe's migrant crisis with her coalition partners today.

NICOSIA, Cyprus (AP) — Authorities in Cyprus say they have rescued 114 people believed to be refugees fleeing war-torn Syria after their fishing boat issued a distress call some 46 miles off the east Mediterranean island nation's southern coast. Cyprus police say that all 114 people, including Palestinians from Syria, are in good health. They include 19 women, 30 children, five infants and 60 men.

PHOENIX (AP) — Supporters of Arizona's landmark immigration law have gained a legal victory. A judge has upheld a controversial provision that police, while enforcing other laws, can question the immigration status of those suspected of being in the U.S. illegally. The judge said opponents failed to show that police would enforce the statute differently for Latinos than it would for people of other ethnicities.

GRAYSON, Ky. (AP) — Today is the fourth day that Rowan (ROW'-uhn) County, Kentucky, clerk Kim Davis will spend in jail. She's behind bars for refusing a judge's order to issue same-sex marriage licenses. Yesterday, about 300 supporters gathered outside the jailhouse, chanting: "Thank you, Kim."

LOS ANGELES (AP) — For about an hour and a-half yesterday, a bomb threat forced the evacuation of several terminals at Los Angeles International Airport. Airport police officials say people on the lower level of terminals 3 to 6 were diverted upstairs after someone called the FBI, saying there was a bomb inside a Homeland Security van. It turned out there was no bomb.
