LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Zach Drayer completed 22 of 33 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns to help lead Saint Francis to a 48-20 win over Georgetown in the season opener for both teams on Saturday.
Marcus Bagley and Khairi Dickson combined for 276 total yards rushing, 147 for Bagley and 126 for Dickson, with Dickson adding three rushing touchdowns. Terell Smith finished with nine catches, 140 yards, and a touchdown for the Red Flash, who had 520 yards of total offense and held the ball for over 39 minutes.
Saint Francis jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Georgetown finally scored midway through the second on a 35-yard interception return by Ettian Scott.
Kyle Nolan threw for 110 yards and added two rushing touchdowns for the Hoyas.
The win snaps an eight game opening week losing streak for Saint Francis.
