FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Holiday weekend campers are being advised to head to the mountains far south of a growing wildfire in California. The wildfire burning in Kings Canyon National Park has burned 134 square miles east of Fresno. Roads and about 10 campgrounds are closed around Hume Lake and Kings Canyon.

FOX LAKE, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in Illinois say they've recovered a new piece of "significant" evidence at the scene of an officer's killing. A detective with the Lake County Sheriff's Office says he thinks "we're getting closer to identifying somebody that we're going to want to talk to." Fox Lake Police Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz (GLIHN'-uh-wihts) was killed Tuesday while pursuing three suspicious men on foot.

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Saudi Arabia's military says 10 of its troops have been killed in a rebel missile strike in Yemen, bringing the number of coalitions troops killed in the attack yesterday to 55. Forty-five of the troops killed were from the United Arab Emirates. The White House says President Barack Obama called the crown prince of Abu Dhabi today to express his condolences.

UNDATED (AP) — Germany's Defense Ministry says it is setting up emergency accommodation for refugees in a school for army officers in the eastern city of Dresden. The ministry said in a statement Saturday that the school will provide temporary accommodation for 350 migrants arriving from Hungary, starting immediately. The German army has already provided space for about 11,800 people in 24 barracks around the country, as well as several hundred more in over 140 tents.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Yellowstone National Park is known for its wildlife, including bears and wolves. But for six weeks, one animal that roamed the park didn't belong. An Australian shepherd named Jade was found in the Canyon area Friday, 42 days after she went missing. Her Denver owner says "she's skin and bones, but otherwise she seems perfectly fine."
