NEW YORK (AP) — Front-running Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has put his recognizable signature on a GOP pledge form that says he'll support the party's eventual nominee. Though it's not legally binding, Trump also promises not to run as a third-party candidate. Meanwhile in New Hampshire, rival Jeb Bush said Trump is "too pessimistic" to lead the country and that Republicans will lose the 2016 election if Trump is the nominee.

ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) — Same-sex couples will line up tomorrow at the clerk's office in Rowan County, Kentucky, and will apparently get the marriage licenses they've been denied. That's because the head clerk, Kim Davis, is in a lockup for contempt of court. Davis, who says it's a matter of religious principles, refused a compromise in which she wouldn't interfere with other clerks in her office issuing the licenses.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Officers on the ground and airborne are searching in Sacramento, California, after a fatal shooting in a parking lot at Sacramento City College. Two other people were wounded. Classrooms and offices are on official lockdown inside the police perimeter, but a stream of students could be seen leaving the school.

FOX LAKE, Illinois (AP) — Investigators hampered by a lack of specific descriptions have apparently gotten a break in their search for three suspects wanted for killing a police officer in northern Illinois. The officer radioed that he was in a foot chase after two white men and a black man. A homeowner has turned over security video that shows three people near the scene of the shooting. The video is being analyzed.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Defense Department says four U.S. soldiers and two international peacekeepers were injured by improvised explosive devices Thursday in the Northeast Sinai region of Egypt. All of the injuries are not life-threatening.
