HERRIMAN, Utah (AP) — Officials say the popular Blackridge Reservoir in Herriman has reopened nearly a month after it was closed because of a worrisome algae bloom in the water.
Herriman city spokeswoman Tami Moody told KSL-TV (http://bit.ly/1KLYtX3) that test results show the algae did not create any toxins in the water. The reservoir was then treated to kill a large number of algae cells.
The reservoir was closed on Aug. 6 and officials reopened it Monday after saying there's no cause for concern.
