(KSL News) -- A teen managed to escape from a juvenile detention facility Sunday morning. He was spotted by drivers on I-15.
The 16-year-old was making his bed at a state facility called Project Ascent when he decided to jump out of a window. He was in an orange jumpsuit and he had no shoes on when he ran across I-15.
Police caught him within about 15 minutes.
One officer noticed the teen peering out the top of a portable restroom.
The teen was then taken to a detention facility in Provo.
