CLEVELAND (AP) — An Ohio college president and Ohio State University's provost are among the four finalists for president at the University of Iowa.
The Northeast Ohio Media Group (http://bit.ly/1IKhXoW ) reports that Oberlin College President Marvin Krislov and Ohio State Provost John Steinmetz visited the University of Iowa over the last week. The board of regents, which governs Iowa's three public universities, is expected to make its choice Thursday.
Krislov has been Oberlin's president since 2007 after serving nine years as a vice president at the University of Michigan. Steinmetz was named provost in 2013. He previously served as Ohio State's vice provost and executive dean at the college of arts and sciences.
The two other finalists include a consultant and former senior vice president at IBM, and Tulane University's provost.
