SALT LAKE CITY — Each Tuesday we take a look back at the past week in news from across Utah, showcasing photos and videos submitted by KSL.com users.

There's no escaping it, Utah is a beautiful place and Utahns love to try to capture that beauty. This week our fellow citizens were inspired to send in photos of the continual treat that is Utah's clouds and sunsets.

Sadly, nature sometimes takes a beating, like with the fire near Cottonwoods Heights on Sept. 1. To see more photos, you can follow the story by clicking here.

Southern Utah also saw some flash flooding last weekend, and you can see a video of the biggest flash flood a flood chaser has ever seen by clicking here.
