LEESBURG, N.J. (AP) — Officials say a southern New Jersey prison inmate was hospitalized after he was found injured in his cell.
But details on how the injury occurred have not been disclosed.
State Corrections Department Spokesman Matt Schuman tells NJ.com (http://bit.ly/1UfzhhA ) that the Bayside state prison inmate was found bleeding from a head injury shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday. He was later flown by helicopter to a hospital, but further details on his condition were not released Sunday.
The incident is under investigation by corrections officials.
