GOTEBORG, Sweden (AP) — Oracle Team USA held the lead after the first day of the America's Cup World Series regatta in Goteborg after winning Saturday's two opening races.

Ben Ainslie's Land Rover BAR, which won the opening regatta in Portsmouth in July, was second in both races with Emirates Team New Zealand in third. That gives Oracle a slim two-point lead heading into Sunday's two races, which count for twice as many points.

Oracle skipper Jimmy Spithill said "this was almost like a warmup. It's all about tomorrow when the points are doubled - Super Sunday."

Oracle led the second race from the start, while Land Rover BAR came from behind to pass Emirates just before the finish line.
