THONOTOSASSA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say Florida deputies fatally shot a suspect who pointed a gun at them.

Local news media are reporting that two Tampa Bay area deputies responded to a disturbance call Tuesday afternoon at a Thonotosassa home. The reports cite the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office as saying that the shooting happened outside the house. Authorities say neither of the officers was hurt, but when they went into the house, they found a man dead inside.
