BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) — Dillon Serna scored 49 seconds into the match and the Colorado Rapids beat the Chicago Fire 1-0 on Saturday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

Gabriel Torres took a long pass from Kevin Doyle and raced into the box, where he found Serna with a short cross for the goal.

The Rapids (6-9-9) won at Chicago for the first time since 2004, but remain in last place in the Western Conference.

The Fire managed 20 shots, including a shot by Gilberto that hit the right post in stoppage time, but just four were on target.

The Fire (6-13-5) are last place in Eastern Conference, but are only five points out of the final playoff spot.
