SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake City Police Department deputy chief has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation for undisclosed violations.
Deputy Chief Krista Dunn is in the Administration Bureau of the department. She is the grants manager and not a certified police officer.
Interim Police Chief Mike Brown released a brief statement regarding Dunn Thursday: "The Salt Lake City Police Department has placed Deputy Chief Krista Dunn on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The police department takes allegations of misconduct very seriously. And consistent with the department's administrative practices regarding this type of allegation, she has been placed on leave pending the conclusion of the investigation."
A police spokeswoman Thursday would not say when Dunn was placed on leave or give more details about allegations against her.
