BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Micron Technology Inc. is planning a $200 million expansion at its Boise campus. Micron did not say how many jobs the expansion will bring to the area. Currently there are about 6,000 Micron employees in Idaho. The company develops computer memory and storage.

ISLAND LAKE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho health officials are warning eastern residents that toxic algae have been found in Henry's Lake in Island Park. The Post Register reports people visiting Henry's Lake should avoid swallowing or inhaling water and avoid contact with water that has visible algae.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — More mandatory evacuations have been ordered in northern Idaho near Kamiah and others have been told to be ready to get out as a group of fires in rugged terrain has grown to more than 100 square miles. Shelters say they're having a hard keeping up with the number of evacuees.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Mormon church for the first time is appointing women to three high-level church councils previously reserved only for men. Scholars and Latter-day Saint feminists say the move marks a small, but noteworthy step in an ongoing push to increase visibility and prominence of women in the faith.
