(KSL News) Police arrested a man early this morning suspected in two armed robberies at two different Baskin Robbins ice cream stores.
Last night the Baskin Robbins at 3490 W. 3500 South in West Valley City was robbed.
Police say the robber slipped the clerk a note demanding money, threatening he was armed. The clerk gave him all the money in the till, and then he took off.
Police believe the robber may have done this before.
Lt. Dalin Taylor of the West Valley City Police Department said, "We believe it may be the same person that robbed a Baskin Robbins [Wednesday] night in Salt Lake City. So we're in contact with them and exchanging information to see if they are the same individual."
Officers arrested a suspect, 32-year-old Brett Edmunds, just before 3 a.m. during a traffic stop in the Avenues.
He's also suspected in a hit-and-run accident. Officers say he crashed into a car and took off in South Salt Lake after last night's robbery.
