(KSL News) Firefighters believe a cigarette ignited a small house fire this morning in Holladay.
Crews contained flames to the house's living room, but the other rooms were damaged by smoke and water.
The house's occupant said he was smoking in the room just before he went to bed. He was later awakened by smoke alarms and escaped without injury.
Damage to the 1,000-square-foot home has been estimated at $15,000.
