Mary Richards reportingOrange is the color of summer in Utah, and all the construction going on around the state means business is booming for the people behind the scenes.
Thousands of orange barrels sit stacked on a lot, and the next lot has thousands of road signs. "You've got to figure about two-thirds of them are out on the roadway, this is just what's left," said Doug Coleman, with Utah Barricade.
Coleman says this year seems busier than last, and he says that every year. He works with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), Salt Lake City and any company with a construction or road project.
He also helps out in races, parades and festivals. "It never ends," Coleman said.
Most of the equipment comes back to him unscathed. Utahns know by now the color of summer.
