Orem's Cheney Haight, who was a 3-time, All-State wrestler at Timpanogos High School, continues his amazing progress in the sport. Rolling through the competition, winning the U.S. Olympic Trials Challenger Bracket, but just 1 match from earning a trip to the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Haight could not handle U.S. National Champion T.C. Dantzler. Losing the Olympic Trials Final 2-0.
Tomorrow's Justin Ruiz big chance. The Taylorsville native and 5-time U.S. National Champion already into the Olympic Trials Final at 211 lbs. If he wins the best 2-out-of-3 final, Ruiz will make his first Olympic team after falling just short, losing in the Olympic trials final four years ago.
KSL's Tom Kirkland is covering the Olympic trials in Las Vegas. He has highlights and interviews with Haight and Ruiz you can see it on SportsBeat Saturday and SportsBeat Sunday.
