Lance Bandley ReportingCedar Hills will hear proposals tonight to find a solution to their golf course problems, including some of the land for houses.

The city council has searched for a solution for more than a year.

"We hope to have a comprehensive plan developed within the next few weeks. And then we'll present that to the city and work towards a solution," says Cedar Hills City Councilman Eric Richardson.

Richardson says they hope to keep the course at 18 holes and 72 strokes but some of the proposals have some of the holes being reduced in size and the land being used for housing development. The potential sell of the land would help pay off a bond and help build three holes somewhere else.

"Everyone wants the golf course to be viable. Whether it's privately held or owned by the municipality. And we're just looking for a way to make that happen," says Richardson.

The golf course has lost more than a half million dollars in the last few years.
