(KSL News) Residents of Holladay are about to see their first tax increase since the city was created.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports the Holladay City Council unanimously approved a 6 percent tax hike on utility bills.
The extra revenue will be used to pay for needed repairs to the city's deteriorating roads. A recent survey reported that more than one third of the roads in Holladay were in "poor" or "failed" condition.
