NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — A suspended North Las Vegas elementary school music teacher already accused of lewdness with an 8-year-old student has been hit with 22 additional lewdness charges alleging he fondled seven other children.

Prosecutor James Sweetin said Wednesday the additional charges filed Tuesday against Jeremiah Mazo bring to 32 the number of felony counts stemming from allegations involving children up to fifth grade.

Sweetin says police are still interviewing other possible victims.

Mazo's defense attorney, William Terry, wasn't immediately available Wednesday for comment.

The 54-year-old Mazo remains jailed on $150,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing June 17 in North Las Vegas Justice Court.

He was suspended from Don E. Hayden Elementary School following his arrest April 24 on 10 lewdness charges.

A school district spokeswoman says Mazo's dismissal is pending.
