MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — A Moscow man has been taken into protective custody after reportedly making suicidal threats on social media and allegedly shooting his laptop and cellphone with a 9mm handgun.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1FsfouC ) police became aware of the man's social media activity Friday night and found him at a home around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Police say they heard noises from outside the home that sounded like a suppressed airsoft pistol going off. The man came outside holding a weapon and complied with police when they asked him to drop it.
He was taken into protective custody and transported to Gritman Medical Center for mental health evaluation.
Police later entered the residence and found the man had shot both his laptop and cellphone.
