WACO, Texas (AP) — Police say they were already on the scene but couldn't prevent a deadly fight from breaking out among at least three rival biker gangs at a restaurant in Waco, Texas. Waco police Sgt. Patrick Swanton says it started with fists and quickly escalated to chains and knives before guns were drawn. Eight people died at the scene and another person at a hospital. Eighteen other people were injured.

BAGHDAD (AP) — The Iraqi city of Ramadi has fallen to the Islamic State group. A spokesman for the governor of Anbar province says Iraqi forces abandoned their weapons and armored vehicles to flee the city despite intensified U.S.-led airstrikes. Local officials report the militants have carried out mass killings of Iraqi security forces and civilians.

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Saudi-led coalition airstrikes targeting Shiite rebels in Yemen have resumed in the southern port city of Aden. The strikes follow the expiration of a five-day humanitarian truce. The cease-fire hadn't halted all fighting in Yemen between the Shiite rebels, known as Houthis, and government forces loyal to exiled President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi (HAD'-ee).

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — Gas prices are climbing. The latest Lundberg survey finds the average price of a gallon of regular has jumped 22 cents in the past three weeks to $2.80 nationwide. Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday that higher crude prices caused by a weaker U.S. dollar and strong gasoline demand are driving the increase. However, she notes the price remains 93 cents lower than a year ago.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — One of the nation's largest egg producers says it will destroy 2 million egg-laying hens in Minnesota due to a deadly bird flu virus. The outbreak at the Minnesota chicken farm brings the total of affected birds to 35 million in 15 states. Minnesota and Iowa's poultry flocks have been hit the hardest.
