(KSL News) The Davis County Attorney says more options are needed when dealing with cases involving cell phones, teenagers and pornographic pictures.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that attorney Troy Rawlings has asked the Utah Sentencing Commission to consider amending the state's law dealing with distribution of pornography to minors so that a misdemeanor charge can be filed against teens who take and share questionable photos with their phones.

Right now, only a felony charge can be filed in such a situation.

Rawlings first had to deal with the issue of lewd photos being traded over cell phones by teens in January.

Prosecutors in Salt Lake County also have had to deal with similar cases.
