MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — A high school teacher in Mandan is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Thirty-five-year-old Amanda Kolosky is charged with corruption of a minor, a Class C felony. She is a special education teacher at Mandan High School.
Police say they received a report from a private counselor on Wednesday that said a male student had formed a relationship with Kolosky. The student allegedly told the counselor he had sex with Kolosky and had been texting her.
KXMB-TV reports the boy was a student of Kolosky's.
Police say the teacher admitted she had kissed the student and performed a sexual act with him.
Superintendent Mike Bitz tells the Bismarck Tribune Kolosky has been placed on indefinite administrative leave.
An attorney for the teacher is not listed.
