STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — A third Connecticut school administrator is facing the possibility of being fired in connection with a teacher-student sex scandal.
The Advocate newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/1IDkVky ) that Stamford officials announced Friday that Stamford High School Assistant Principal Angela Thomas-Graves was placed on administrative leave, a first step in termination proceedings.
Authorities accused the administrators of failing to report and mishandling the case of teacher Danielle Watkins, who is serving five years in prison for sexually assaulting the student.
School Superintendent Winifred Hamilton announced earlier this week that former Stamford High School Principal Donna Valentine and another assistant principal would be fired. Both were arrested and sentenced to a probation program. Another school official was allowed to resign and a fifth official was suspended.
Thomas-Graves didn't immediately return a phone message Friday night.
