NEW YORK, Jul 7, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Actors Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane, stars of the Broadway production "The Odd Couple," were each making about $75,000 a week during the show's run.

The production ended its 38-week run last month, returning its initial $2.5 million investment in about six weeks, the New York Post reported Friday.

After the $2.5 million was recouped, Broderick and Lane each received 10 percent of the weekly box office gross.

"The Odd Couple" grossed about $750,000 a week, which means the duo was earning about $75,000 a week each, a source told the Post.

The actors have made even more than that before. During their return engagement in "The Producers" two years ago, each was making about $110,000 a week, the Post said.

But their "Odd Couple" salaries once again put them at the top of the list of Broadway's highest paid actors.
