CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval's spokeswoman says she made an error in judgment after being arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Mari St. Martin was arrested in Reno on Friday night on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The spokeswoman for the popular Republican governor said in a statement issued Monday that she would offer no excuses and expected to be held accountable for her actions.

Sandoval said in a statement that he is "extremely disappointed" in St. Martin.

St. Martin has worked as Sandoval's spokeswoman since 2014. She lost a bid for state Senate in 2012.
