SPANISH FORK CANYON, Utah (AP) — Brief travel delays were caused on U.S. Highway 6 after a tractor-trailer carrying 44,000 pounds of potatoes overturned in Spanish Fork Canyon.
The Herald Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1IwylgC ) that Sgt. Kellie Oaks with the Utah Highway Patrol says that the driver of the truck, which was out of Idaho Falls, Idaho, took a curve too fast just before noon on Sunday while traveling eastbound in the Red Narrows area of the canyon.
The highway was briefly closed in both directions, but no one was injured in the rollover.
Oaks says the site had to be cleaned up and traffic is now flowing in both directions.
