PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) — Mackenzie Butler shot an even-par-72 on Friday to help three-time defending champion Bethune-Cookman take the women's lead in the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship.

Bethune-Cookman had a 7-over 295 total for an eight-stroke lead over Houston-Victoria.

Heather Shake led Houston-Victoria with a 67 on PGA Golf Club's Ryder Course.

Florida A&M topped the men's Division I standings at 11-over 299. Alabama State was two strokes back, and two-time defending champion Bethune-Cookman was third at 307.

Lyron Henderson led Florida A&M with a 2-under 70 on the Wanamaker Course. Alabama State's Branson Ferrier had the day's low round with a 66. He made a 7-foot eagle putt on the par-5 16th hole.
