ATLANTA (AP) — Right-hander Michael Kohn has been optioned to Gwinnett by the Atlanta Braves, who recalled right-hander Williams Perez from the Triple-A team.
Kohn did not allow a hit or a run in six appearances but walked six in 4 2-3 innings.
Perez, a 23-year-old native of Venezuela who has never appeared in the major leagues, was 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA in five starts at Gwinnett. He was 7-6 with a 2.91 ERA at Double-A Mississippi last season.
Atlanta announced the moves Wednesday.
