BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Gov. Butch Otter has released his proposed amendments to the child support enforcement bill that failed to pass the Legislature earlier this year. The bill was rejected over concerns of federal overreach and disputed claims that Idaho would be forced to uphold rulings made under Islamic law. The revised language now states Idaho cannot enforce any orders incompatible with Idaho law and instructs the state Department of Health and Welfare to install measures to secure personal data from being leaked.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Skinny Dipper Hot Springs is being eliminated. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management says the unauthorized construction in west-central Idaho will be removed and the area closed for five years to allow rehabilitation. Officials say the hot springs were constructed with piping and concrete on public lands in the 1990s without permission.

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (AP) — A Garden City woman wants answers and accountability after her grandson handed her a gun that police say was dumped on her front yard by a Wyoming man charged with armed robbery. KBOI-TV reports police say 24-year-old Allen Newman is suspected of robbing a convenience store and tossing the weapon in the woman's nearby yard.

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A 30-year-old Montana man was killed and a woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash in southeastern Idaho. The Idaho State Police says the Anaconda residents were traveling east on Interstate 86 on Sunday morning when the car went off the left side of the road, rolled and came to rest on its top in the median. Joshawa Cash died at the scene.
