RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 46-year-old Reno man has been sentenced to two life prison terms for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Washoe District Judge Elliott Sattler said at Thursday's sentencing that Brett Doyle won't be eligible for parole for 45 years.

Sheriff's deputies say the FBI contacted them last August about Doyle's communication with an undercover agent regarding the sharing of child pornography on the internet.

Detectives searched his home and computers, and found video of Doyle in sexual acts with the girl, now age 12.

District Attorney Chris Hicks says Doyle confessed to abusing her for about three years.

Hicks said Friday the stiff sentence should send a clear message to sexual predators that if they are caught abusing children, they will go to prison for a very long time.
