The curfew was put into place after protests calling for justice in the death of Freddie Gray turned violent. Gray had suffered severe injuries while in police custody.
ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities say two Atlanta police officers fatally shot a woman who first fired at them while sitting in the back of a patrol car Thursday. A police major says it's unclear how she was able to fire a gun while in the cruiser and whether she'd been handcuffed. Both officers are black, as was the woman. The officers are currently on administrative leave.

Each was given three years in prison and seven on probation. Each had earlier been sentenced to seven years in prison and 13 on probation. In all, 11 former educators were convicted of racketeering.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Los Angeles prosecutor says an Italian newlywed's honeymoon ended in the bride's death ride on the hood of a car driven by a man bent on revenge against a drug dealer who ripped him off. In his opening statement, the prosecutor said Nathan Campbell had aimed his car at people on the Venice Beach Boardwalk in 2013, killing the bride and mowing down 17 others.
