LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming chose an alumnus to take over as dean of its College of Education come fall.
The Casper Star Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1Ez5B7r) the hire was fourth in a list of vacancies the school filled after a rocky presidency under Bob Sternberg ended in 2013.
Ray Reutzel is a Utah State University early childhood education professor who graduated from the UW in 1976. He starts July 6, taking over for Kay Persichitte, who was asked to resign in the wake of Sternberg's departure.
University officials can now look at hiring President Dick McGinity's replacement, who said he wouldn't stay on after his contract expires next summer.
