Samantha Hayes ReportingA 16-year old girl is missing from Bountiful. What was first thought to be a runaway is now being treated as a crime.

A four-plex in Bountiful is being treated as a crime scene tonight. Investigators have been going in and out of the home, gathering evidence, that right now, they won't say much about.

The 38-year old man who lives at the house is currently at the police station, talking to police.

This is in relation to a missing 16-year old girl from Bountiful. On Sunday the girl was reported as a runaway. Police say they believe she was up in the canyon above Bountiful with the 38-year old man. They believe the two met on the Internet, but police have not elaborated on their relationship or how long they may have been corresponding.

At some point, a group of people playing paintball found the man. He was disoriented and he was taken to a hospital. At that point there were no reports of the 16-year old girl.

Police came to this residence today, hoping to find information about her.

Sgt. Gary Koehn, Bountiful Police Dept.: "Detectives noticed he had a large amount of scratches on his body which made them suspicious. They questioned him. His statement was that he doesn't remember how he got the scratches. He remembers being with the girl, but doesn't remember how he got the scratches."

Again, that man is being questioned by police. Bountiful police, Woods Cross police, the crime lab and the Davis County Sheriff's department has been on the scene tonight.

We've seen people walking in and out of the house with plastic gloves on. We've seen pictures being taken. We also noticed investigators sifting through the trash. They have confirmed this is indeed a crime scene.

No charges have been filed at this point.

Police want to talk to the people who were playing paintball in the canyon. They ask anyone who was up the canyon and may have seen something to call police.
