(KSL News) Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies were led to a suspect overnight by his calls for help.
Around 2 a.m. a cab driver dropped off a man at a home near 300 West and 4100 South. The man allegedly went inside and assaulted two women. He then returned to the cab and pulled a knife on the driver, who sped off and called 911.

When deputies arrived at the home, the suspect led them on a short foot chase to a trucking yard. That's when officers heard him yelling for help.
Sgt. John Barker of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office said, "Somewhere along the line he either stepped in a hole or jumped up off a tractor trailer. But it appears he's injured his leg."
The man was taken into custody and then to the hospital. Deputies say he's currently on probation and could face several charges.
