Tonya Papanikolas reportingA man crashed his hang glider this afternoon at the Point of the Mountain.
It happened around 4:30 at 15300 S. Steep Mountain Dr.
Witnesses say it looked like something on the glider broke and he slammed into the side of the hill.
When rescue crews reached the 50-year-old man, they placed him in a portable stretcher and lowered him down the mountain with ropes.
When rescuers took him to the hospital, he appeared to be in stable condition, but did not remember the accident.
