Authorities in Los Angeles have branded the 'Hooters For Neuters' campaign - which aims to raise money to neuter pets - 'degrading' to women. The charity event, to be held on the 13 July (06), would give the money to the LA Animal Services. Hosted by the Hooters restaurant chain, the event features a bikini contest boasting busty beauties in the name of charity. City controller Laura Chick says, "Are we going backward here? We are a city with all kinds of progressive programs that empower women and end discrimination in the workplace, and now we're being connected with a Hooters bikini contest. It isn't right."
