(KSL News) With I-15's Express Lanes only a couple months away, UDOT is holding another open house to let the public ask any questions and bring up any concerns.
Beginning in August, some 600 single occupant drivers can pay 50 dollars for an Express Lane decal, allowing them to drive in the carpool lane come September First. The carpool lane is currently reaching less than half of its capacity.
UDOT believes by allowing a number of solo drivers to drive in those lanes, the other lanes will see a decrease in travel times.
Tonight's meeting is from 5 to 7 pm at the Salt Lake Community Miller Campus at 9750 S. 300 West in Sandy.
