LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities said this week they're counting the death of a 91-year-old motorist a week after a November crash as the 93rd traffic fatality in Las Vegas in 2014.
Las Vegas police on Tuesday cited newly released coroner's reports attributing the Dec. 2 death of Lewis Kaplan to multiple injuries he received in the Nov. 25 wreck.
Las Vegas police say Kaplan was mortally injured when the Lexus SC 400 sedan he was driving collided with a Toyota Prius at Patrick Lane and McLeod Drive.
The driver of the Prius, 31-year-old Cody Phillips, did not report any injuries.
Police say it appeared Kaplan failed to yield before turning left into the path of the Prius.
