NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA has postponed two games tonight because of heavy snow in the New York area. The Sacramento at New York and Portland at Brooklyn games have been called off and will be played on March 3 and April 6 respectively.

The three teams that led the way last week, Kentucky, Virginia and Gonzaga (gahn-ZAG'-uh), remain in the same spots this week. Both Kentucky and Virginia lead the way with records of 19-0 while Gonzaga is 20-1.
UNDATED (AP) — There are just two games being played tonight in men's Top-25 basketball with one game featuring two ranked schools. That game has 15th-ranked Iowa State playing host to 19th-ranked Texas. The other contest has 13th-ranked North Carolina playing host to Syracuse.
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — A check of tonight's Australian Open schedule shows women's second-seed Maria Sharapova (shah-rah-POH'-vah) facing Canada's Eugenie Bouchard (YEW'-jeen-ee-ah boo-SHARD'), the seventh-seed, in a quarterfinal match. The two No. 3's are also in action with Simona Halep (HAL'-ehp) tangling with 10th-seed Ekaterina Makarova (ee-KAT'-eh-ree-nuh man'-KAH'-roh-vuh) in a quarterfinal pairing and Rafael Nadal (rah-fay-ehl nah-DAHL') going against seventh-seed Tomas Berdych (TOH'-mahs bur-DEEK').
DETROIT (AP) — The Tigers and relief pitcher Al Alburquerque have avoided arbitration. The two sides have agreed to a one-year contract for $1,725,000. The 28-year-old right-hander was 3-1 with a 2.51 earned run average in 72 games last year for the AL Central champions. He was Detroit's last player available for arbitration.
