RYBINSK, Russia (AP) — Switzerland's Dario Cologna and Norway's Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen won men's and women's cross-country skiing World Cup races on Friday.

With many top skiers absent, Cologna saw off a strong Russian team to win the men's 15-kilometer race. Russia's Evgeny Belov was second, 16.3 seconds down, and another Russian, Sergei Ustyugov, third, 12.5 seconds further back.

In the women's 10K, Jacobsen took advantage of the absence of many of her rivals on the Norwegian team to claim her first win of the season.

Second place went to Elizabeth Stephen of the U.S., 14.4 seconds behind Jacobsen, with bronze for Stefanie Boehler of Germany, 22 seconds further back.
