SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say four Utah police officers have been hospitalized for smoke inhalation after they responded to a Salt Lake City-area apartment fire overnight.
Unified Police Department Lt. Steve Shreeve says emergency crews were called to an apartment complex in the Holladay area around midnight Wednesday.
Shreeve says four Unified officers arrived before firefighters and began evacuating apartments.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1BKQ8z1 ) everyone made it out safely but the officers needed treatment for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
