Las Vegas, Nevada - The Utah Grizzlies fell 4-3 to Las Vegas in overtime Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers now lead the best-of-seven National Conference Finals 2-0. Olivier Labelle scored the game-tying goal for Utah as the clock read 0:00 at the end of regulation.
After a scoreless first period, Utah jumped up 1-0 2:32 into the second period on Micheal Haley's sixth goal of the playoffs for their only lead of the contest. Las Vegas responded less than 11 minutes later with two goals in 2:22 to take a 2-1 lead into the second intermission.
The Grizzlies made it 2-2 3:31 into the third period with Haley's second goal of the game off of a Las Vegas turnover.
Las Vegas got what appeared to be the game-winning goal at the 8:02 mark of the third period before the final Utah rally.
Rob Sirianni won a face-off with just less than six seconds to go setting up the Utah tying goal out in front. The Grizzlies had a few looks before Labelle finally knocked the puck past Kevin Lalande to force overtime.
Aki Seitsonen scored the game-winning goal for Las Vegas 1:36 into overtime.
Each team went 0-2 on the power-play. Las Vegas outshot Utah 38-25.
The Grizzlies were again without injured captain Travis Rycroft. Veteran defenseman Ian Forbes also did not play for Utah with an injury.
The series returns to the E-Center for games three, four and five* Thursday and Friday at 7:05 p.m. with Sunday's game scheduled for 4:05 p.m.
