(KSL News) -- We first told you about a series of mistakes made by employees of the South Utah Valley Animal Shelter last week. Today, the shelter's Board of Directors fired shelter director, Shirley Bybee.
Bybee has been under fire lately, after employees at the shelter mistakenly euthanized six dogs.
The decision was made last night, during a closed door meeting. The board also plans to hire more employees.
A board representative says he hopes the changes will improve the conditions and operations of the shelter.
