NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) — Justin Robinson scored 14 points, including all eight of his shots from the free throw line, to help Monmouth remain unbeaten in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference games this season with a 66-50 win over Niagara on Sunday.
Collin Stewart added 12 points and Deon Jones had eight points while also grabbing seven rebounds for Monmouth (7-7, 4-0), which shot 48 percent from the floor to win its third straight over Niagara (3-9, 2-2).
A pair of free throws from Robinson gave Monmouth the lead for good late in the first half and sparked an 11-0 run stretching across both sides of the intermission to make it 33-23 with 18:26 to play.
Niagara pulled to within 45-40 on Wesley Myers' layup with 9:03 left but the Hawks responded with a 7-0 burst and continued to pull away down the stretch.
