DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Jalen Nesbitt led four North Florida players in double figures with 14 points and the Ospreys won their fourth straight game with a 63-56 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday night.
Chris Davenport added 13 points, Trent Mackey 12 and Romelo Banks 10 for the Ospreys (5-3).
Delino Dear, a transfer from Toledo, matched career highs with 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Wildcats (2-6). Clemmye Owens added 12 points.
The Ospreys led by three at halftime and built their lead to 12 with 14:32 remaining in the game. The Wildcats followed with an 8-0 run while the Ospreys endured a scoring drought of more than 5 minutes.
Owen's 3-pointer closed the gap to 53-50 with 3:13 left but the Ospreys responded with four points from Nesbitt and a 3-pointer from Mackey to go up 10 with 1:13 left.
The victory was the 250th for the North Florida program.
