ELKO, Nev. (AP) — An Elko man who stole gym bags full of clothes and cellphones belonging to girls on a high school volleyball team has been sentenced to up to three years in prison. Lancer Wagar was arrested in June 2013 after he was found in Lamoille Canyon with the property of the Spring Creek volleyball players. Authorities tracked him there after one of the girls' parents picked up a cellphone signal.

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Police say nobody was injured after a man drove through the front of a post office in Henderson yesterday afternoon. City officials say a man jumped the curb and went into the building. Richards says a female passenger was taken to the hospital with chest pains, but those didn't appear to be related to the crash.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County commissioners have unanimously selected former Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman Mark Lipparelli to fill a vacant state Senate seat. He replaces mark Hutchison, who was elected lieutenant governor in November and officially resigned yesterday. The Assembly GOP caucus is expected to choose new leaders today after Speaker-elect Ira Hansen stepped down last month.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police say that a California man suffered from depression when he burst into a Nevada medical office last year and fatally shot a doctor he blamed for a botched vasectomy. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that the 1,168-page report provides new details about Alan Frazier's medical and mental condition.
