(KSL News) Taylorsville police are investigating a strange series of events that began with a rollover.

Witnesses say a man with a handgun got out of the car and ran toward the Fairway Apartment complex. Police set up a perimeter and caught the man running along the Jordan River Parkway.

He had a fake gun that looked very much like a real one.

Officers believe the same 25-year-old man had brandished a fake gun earlier today in South Salt Lake. They've booked him into the county jail.
